    2. iOS: www.link.com

The surface area of a wall or flat surface is measured and calculated as follows:

Surface Area = Length x Width

Always measure the surface dimensions in metres when using Doober.

For more than one surface or wall: Calculate each surface area individually and then add altogether.

NB: Remember to exclude the surface area of windows and doors

You are required to supply all the materials to complete the job except for the basic tools and equipment which the labourer will provide.

A detailed list is given below:

(List of materials to be provided by Client or Labourer)

Per Hour: –

Only one labourer is booked for the desired time you require, and you pay the labourer on an hourly rate. If you require multiple labourers – each of these need to be booked individually (i.e. you will need to start a new job for each labourer).

Per Job: –

In this instance, you specify the size of the job (total surface area) and you choose to pay per job i.e. you pay a rate calculated per m2 of the job size.

The Doober application will indicate the time required for the job to be completed by one labourer. Should you prefer that multiple labourers be employed to complete the job in a shorter amount of time – you are able to select this by toggling through the “work days” options on the job specifications screen.

If you are unable to measure the job size/ total surface are of the job requirement – we advise that you rather select the “Per Hour” option when selecting your pay rate option.

No, unfortunately not. You will need to cancel the job and re-schedule a new job accordingly.

Please note: this applies to jobs that have been billed on a “per job” basis only (i.e. “per hour” billed jobs are not included in the below).

The job specifications submitted are editable – these can be updated on the app, however you will be re-quoted and should you decide to cancel the job – normal cancellation fees will apply.

A labourer may re-measure the job size once he/she has arrived at the job site and should he/she find that the job specifications originally submitted via the app, are incorrect – the labourer will request for a “re-quote” and a new quote will be sent for your approval.

Should you decide to cancel the job – normal cancellation fees will apply.

To update job specifications once deposit has been paid – go to your home screen (click the Doober logo at the top of the page) and select the job card in question. Click on “EDIT JOB” on the bottom of the screen and follow prompts accordingly.

Your deposit may be refundable in the form of Doober points or it may be non-refundable – depending on the time and reasons for job cancellation.

See below:

  1. If a job has been canceled or abandoned less than 12 hours before a job commences; or after the job commencement time – the deposit paid in non-refundable and serves as a cancellation fee unless the reason for cancellation is due to proven labourer fault.
  2. If a job is cancelled more than 12 hours before the job commencement time, then the deposit will become earned doober points which you are able to use to pay for your next scheduled Doober job.

Doober points are points earned via using Doober. These points are used for payment on your subsequent Doober job executed.

Doober points cannot be accumulated over time and therefore will be spent on the next Doober job booked after the points have been earned.

Doober points are earned as follows:

  1. Purchasing materials online via the Doober application.
  2. Using Doober repeatedly earns you doober points each time.
  3. Cancelling a job request more than 12 hours before job commencement time and after the deposit has been paid.
  4. Cancelling a job request less than 12 hours before job commencement time and after the deposit has been paid, IF the reason for cancellation is due to proven labourer fault.

You are able to view your Doober points earned in your Doober profile.

Your Doober points will be automatically used on your subsequent Doober Job booked.

Your non-refundable deposit also serves as a cancellation fee.

See below:

Your job will need to be cancelled and a new job scheduled accordingly.

Normal cancellation fees apply (if doober points are earned via a cancellation – they will be used on the next booked Doober job).

You are able to report a labourer (via the Doober helpline) that arrives late.

If this results in the job not being completed on time – the labourer will be required to complete the job thereafter at no extra cost to you.

If this results in a job cancellation, you will earn your deposit back in Doober points, which will be redeemed on your next Doober job booked.

Our Doober Call Centre will advise accordingly.

(Process flow diagram for each scenario)

You will have to cancel the job and select the reason for cancellation accordingly.

You will earn your deposit back in Doober points, which will be redeemed on your next Doober job booked.

Doober insurance will cover you in this instance, however if you have not selected the Doober insurance option – you will need to report the labourer to Doober.

Once a job has been scheduled – a deposit is required to secure the booking (this is paid electronically with your bank card directly to Doober).

On commencement of the job – once the labourer has confirmed the job details (after viewing the site) – the job payment is required to be paid in full.

This is also paid electronically with your bank card directly to Doober.

Only once a job has been marked complete and once you have rated the labourer – will Doober release payment to the labourer accordingly.
